Adaptive Daily Living classroom opens in Queens!

Across New York City, public schools that serve children and young adults on the austim spectrum are updating their Adaptive Daily Living classrooms for the Nuerodiverse to provide a more holistic, immersive, hands on experience for students and teachers alike. This means that students will now learn about setting the table using real dishes, silverware, placemats, and a dining room table.

We were grateful to support P721Q as it leads the way with their fully functioning kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and bedroom. On opening day, principals from around the five boroughs joined in the celebration, along with parents, students, and teachers. We are all enthusiastic about how this form of design and education will have a lasting positive impact on students for generations to come.
