Dear Future is more than an art exhibition—it’s a movement dedicated to giving children in difficult circumstances the space to dream. Originating with ten children and their Granny caregivers from Chiquitines Children’s Home in Cali, Colombia, the project invited each child to imagine their future through the creation of masks, costumes, and heartfelt letters to their future selves.
Collaborating with local artists, the project culminated in a traveling fundraising exhibition, featuring the children’s work alongside photography by a renowned photographer. The design focused on mobility, cost-efficiency, and simplicity, ensuring the displays could be constructed and deconstructed with ease so that most of the funds raised went directly to the orphanage. Partnerships with generous vendors who donated materials and labor amplified the project’s reach and impact. Dear Future transforms art into action, using creativity as a catalyst for opportunity and hope.
